When you take care of your skin, it takes care of you! Here are four skin habits to incorporate into 2024!

SPF DAILY

Most common signs of aging are due to prolonged exposure to sunlight. You would be amazed at how daily use of SPF (rain or shine) could limit your risk to freckles, skin discoloration, age spots, and even skin cancer! The UV rays can also damage your skin’s elastic and collagen tissue which causes skin sagging and wrinkles.

SKIN CARE (AT HOME)

Dedication to cleansing + moisturizing is key to getting the skin of your dreams. Cleansing is crucial in getting rid of the oils and build up you naturally pick up throughout the day. Hydrating your skin with a moisturizer is important to keep a healthy and glowing complexion. The hydration will help keep your skin plump, voluminous and provide an overall rejuvenated appearance.
In addition to cleansing + moisturizing we will often recommend other products.

That includes advanced ingredients such as hyaluronic acid, antioxidants, alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs), retinoids, and peptides. These ingredients help with skin cell turnover, the shedding of dead skin cells, and stimulates collagen production, all of which helps with the sings of aging!

WATER + HEALTHY DIET

Sometimes we jump to wanting to find the product that will be the ‘magic potion’ for our skin, but water + healthy eating may be just what your skin needs. Scientific studies have shown that drinking tons of water can create a healthy complexion. Food is the other big contributor.

Nourishing your body with skin-friendly foods such as fruits and vegetables that are rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C is known for its potent antioxidant that protects the skin from harmful effects of free radicals and for promoting faster skin healing and in improving skin texture. Including foods that are high in vitamins A, E, and K, selenium, omega-3, zinc will also contribute to creating healthy and clear skin.

REGULAR FACIALS

Regular medical grade facials will give your skin that extra boost that only professionals can provide. It’s where we can deeply cleanses and exfoliates, remove impurities from pores, moisturize and nourish the skin. It also allows our esthetician to assess what your skin may be lacking and provide the correct ingredients to jump start your skin for the month.
